Fujy whose birth name is Elvin Fujymorre was born in Accra, Ghana. He is also referred to as De Konero,thats what his friends calls him,He is mixed race because he was born to a Ghanaian mother and his father a white man from Belgium who was a contractor and came to Ghana to work and that's how his mother met his father.He is the elder son of his parents and he has one half brother.Fujy was a very outspoken boy and became known in his community (Kwashieman,Accra) for his profound views, especially those views which pertained to key issues of the time: social injustice and African people.Due to this he wanted to be a lawyer to help people.Fujy believes that he was musically inclined from his youth.He felt as if it were the manifestation of God that made him chose a career in music.He started music with rap and even wrote songs for his fellow mates when he was in primary school .He loved hip-hop soo much that he even writes rap songs to learn instead of him learning his notes in class to achieve the dream of his mum wanting him to be a lawyer in future but he was rather using his note books to write hot lyrics for his class mates and himself.As Fujy was growing up he began to fall in love with reggae music because of their lyrical contents and the positive vibes as well as the teachings. His main early reggae musical influences were Bob Marley,Capleton,Gentleman,Sizzla,Vybz kartel,Sean Paul,Jah Cure and Luthan Fyah. At that time, Capleton was his favorite DJ because he liked the length of his lyrics and it inspired him to create longer lyrics for his own songs.
When he completed senior secondary school he took music very serious and started going to the studios and recorded lots of demos.
When you ask Fujy that whats the genre of his music he will tell you i am versatile and i can sing,rap and ragga on any kind of beats.
Due to his fine looks he has been featured in some video clips.
He released his first hot reggaetone single called "I NEED SOMEONE" early this year(2010) which he featured his cousin Quata on it and the beat was produced by Infectious.His single won the favorite song of the week on Y FM's flash or push radio programme they do to promote fresh songs and new talents on radio in Ghana.He has a video for his single and it was directed by PHAMOUS PEOPLE(PHILMS) one of the best video directors in Africa and his video was shot in the ghetto's of James Town,Accra Ghana.
Fujy believes in reality and natural things.
Fujy today is one of the fresh hottest reggae-dancehall,hip-hop artists and he will constantly make hit after hit and doesn’t seems to stop. His career is truly a unique one and show that there is much more to come out of him because he always says " I AM A LEADER OF THE MUSIC I DO AND NOT A FOLLOWER"
